   Commissions

 Commission status: open.

 Contact: edsiffert@yahoo.com.

Methods of payment: PayPal and the payment methods accepted by it (Paypal funds, credit card, debit card, etc).

I can draw/paint fantasy themes, mythological creatures, animals, original story or fanfic illustrations, anime/manga style characters, RPG characters, portraits, pinups, coats of arms (heraldry), tattoo design, etc.

I require 50% of the payment up front which is non-refundable on accepting a commission. This is to cover my time and expenses with the initial work (materials, research, referencing, sketches, etc). Refunds are only available if there are exceptional circumstances.

The final payment is required when the artwork is finished and ready to be sent to you.

Send me an e-mail stating what you would like me to draw/paint. We will discuss the features and details of the pic and you will receive a quote.

This price is negotiable. Elements can be modified to fit your budget.

Additional costs may be incurred if the client changes their mind after approval of the main sketch or requires a major repaint.

Images of the commissioned artworks are published on my site, but they are on low resolution (usually up to 100 dpi) and watermarked. If you do not wish images of your commission to be published, please, do no forget to tell me that.

Commissions may take between a week and 2 months, or more, depending on the complexity of the image and our availability. The sooner you get back to me and give me approval for the tests and sketches, the sooner I can finish the artwork.

If the artwork is required within a certain time limit this must be stated up front.

I believe in artistic expression and have no problem drawing/painting nudes, sexy pieces, horror, etc, as long as it is tasteful. I'll not draw/paint anything pornographic or with explicit subject matter like extreme horror, explicit violence and prejudicial themes.

Please note that these art works are for personal use only and, unless negotiated otherwise, can not be used for profit/commercial purposes.

The artist retains the copyright (including printing, publishing, licensing and display rights) unless otherwise negotiated.

If you want an artwork for commercial use / publishing / licensing, e-mail me so that we can negotiate the terms.

  The Process

As I work, I'll show you scans/photos (in low-res .jpg files) of the tests, sketches and work in progress. I provide updates on the image during the process of making it to keep the client informed and for additional input.

(Keep in mind that the sketch will not be as detailed as the finished piece.)

  People Portrait and Animal Portrait

Portraits of people and animals are drawn/painted using the photos provided by the client as reference.

The style can be realistic, fantasy, ornated, etc.

The rates listed below are the lowest prices and refer to detailed portraits with no background. All prices are quoted in US dollars. Shipping not included.

The shipping fee and time depend on the client country and the service used.

Most clients choose priority mail shipping. It has a US$10 fee for most countries and usually takes 7 to 15 days to arrive. In this type of shipping the envelope/tube is traceable only up until it leaves Brazil.

The other shipping options are EMS and SEDEX MUNDI. They are traceable and faster than priority mail, but their fees are higher (US$30 or more).

I can garantee things only up until the envelope/tube leaves Brazil. I can not be hold responsible for other countries Post Office and Customs problems (taxes, border waiting times, etc).

  Digital Commission / Internet Delivery

On digital commissions the delivery of the final artwork is via internet (e-mail or download on a private page), no matter the medium the original artwork was done with. The client does not receive the original artwork (hard copy).

Usually, the original artwork (or the main sketch for digital works) will be made on a Din-A4 paper sheet (approx. 8 x 12 inches).

After the final image is approved, the client receives images of the artwork for internet display (usually a low resolution image and a avatar) and a personal use only image (with no watermark and usually 100 dpi or more) that can be printed. If negociated, the client can receive a high resolution file for professional printing too.

The price goes up according to the artwork complexity.

The rates listed below are the lowest prices and refer to character pinups (one character with very simple or no background) and similar artworks. All prices are quoted in US dollars.
